Q1 First question! Remote working is something that requires everyone’s needs to be met. What are the best ways to audit your practices to ensure they’re meeting the needs of your whole team?
A1 Use productivity visualizations to compare and measure tasks, outcomes, completed, and even areas that need improvement. @todoist has productivity tools in their software features to help you measure results with reports to do this kinda audit work.
Q2 What are some quick ways to increase your remote team’s accessibility potential?
A2 Get everyone together for a quick meeting. Do like a 5-10 meeting to discuss and share your daily tasks to accomplish. So the team knows what individuals are working on + value and importance of each project. Break up groups so they are smaller meeting times.
Q3 Given COVID-19 has leveled the playing field to some degree for those with disabilities, how can entrepreneurs implement more inclusive policies in their businesses right now?
A3 Take action to create environments that support individuals for the team. Ask questions, what is getting in the way of getting a job done, keeping an individual from doing a job? List any problems so the team knows what is crucial on how to help. Go team support!
Q4 Should the option for remote work be an expectation of all startups?
A4 I think remote opportunities should always be an option for employment. Remote doesn’t always suit every individual to support their desired work environment and performance for success. I think it’s good to establish both work type environments from the start.
Q5 What are some remote-work tools with accessibility features?
A5 Understanding accessibility is a big list to cover. It requires specialized evaluation to support unique individualized needs.
